Case Study: The Design and Implementation of the Heels So Soft product website.
Heels So Soft is a skin care product that relieves dry cracked skin, it is best when used on heels and elbows. The core demographic for this product is female between the age of 35 and 60 with a minimum yearly earning of 45k.
Client Objective:
- To create a single product E-commerce web site that would allow the client to capture online sales and leads for a new exciting product Heels So Soft. This web site would also have to be flexible enough to allow for affiliate sales tracking across multiple affiliate publishing networks and secure enough to prevent online fruad.
- Starting with a blank slate to work from we created a "micro" site for the product Heels So Soft we developed an overall style and feel for the campaign, including a product logo, splash, testimonials and ingredients pages.
- Using MySql and PHP we custom created a secure Ecommerce back end structure allowing further monetization by creating a short product up sell stream, dynamic data exchange with a 3rd party vendor, and a last chance sales opportunity inside the final order confirmation emails.
- Further integrations also include goggle analytics statistics, multiple affiliate network tracking pixels and a dynamic data exchange with MaxMind ® minFraud fraud detection and scoring to return a fraud score on potential risky credit card submissions.
- For order transmission to fulfillment house we created a secure application allowing pre selected admins to download or edit product orders from any internet enabled computer.
- We then created 4 different variations of the site with different layout options for initial market testing as well as an assortment of promotional banner and email creatives.
- After initial market testing determined what variation worked best and the web site went into a complete production enviroment the response has been outstanding. The affiliate health and beauty market responded very well and in turn the Heels So Soft campaign is currently a top seller on 3 major affiliate networks, and the conversion ratios are steadily increasing.
- The client saw an almost immediate ROI on the cost of web site design and application programming for this product.
- The client further intends to expand the media market to Radio and TV, driving all available traffic to the Heels So Soft Landing Page.
